Director's Monthly Report for March 2016

Voice Radio Project:
-Harris has completed 60% of mobile installs and 31% of control station installs.  All installation work is scheduled to be completed by 21 April 2016.  SSC Consulting and Chester County will be following up after installations are complete at an organization to ensure everything is satisfactory.  Do not call Metropolitan Communications about installation issues.
-Discussions are taking place around decommissioning the EF Johnson system.
-We are 36 months (95%) into the 38 month Implementation Phase.  About 96% of the project implementation tasks have been completed.  So far we have spent $32,594,412 (72%) of the $45,000,000 total project budget.

New CAD System:
-Work is focused on response plan updates for fire departments
-Installations have begun on the Mobile Data project.  So far 409 of 700 (58%) have been installed.  Network configuration is ongoing.
-CAD and Mobile Data Cutover is targeted for 23 August 2016.

Public Safety Training Facility:
-Last month we hosted 3,265  people at 106 events in the Academic Building and hosted 30 training sessions in the Tactical Village.
-Final construction bid was released on 1 April 2016 for the Law Enforcement Firing Range.  Response are due on 18 May.

SE PA Regional Task Force:
Two Polaris ATVs with EMS capability and two transportation trailers were issued to Wagontown Fire Company and Malvern Fire Company.

Director's Monthly Report for February, 2016

Voice Radio Project:
-Harris has completed 55% of mobile installs and 35% of control station installs.  All installation work is scheduled to be completed by 21 April 2016.  SSC Consulting and Chester County will be following up after installations are complete at an organization to ensure everything is satisfactory.  Do not call Metropolitan Communications about installation issues.
-Reports of system issues and programming errors are being addressed by Harris.  An adjustment has been made to alarm threshold.  Issues with "CC Scan" should be resolved; however, if agencies experience "CC Scan" please report through Enterprise Wizard.

-Final construction documents are being reviewed by Facilities and Procurement in preparation for the Law Enforcement Firing Range bid package to be released.

Southeastern PA Regional Task Force:
Fifteen trailer-mounted light towers and 70 "Emergency Scene Ahead" fold and roll signs were distributed to fire police.

Voice Radio Project:
-Cutover took place on 4 January 2016 with all emergency responders operational on the system scheduled for 21 April 2016
-We are 34 months (89%) into the 38 month Implementation Phase.  About 92% of the project implementation tasks have been completed.  So far we have spent $30,981,968 (69%) of the $45,000,000 total project budget.

New CAD:
-Work is focused on response plan updates for fire departments.  Installations have begun on the Mobile Data project.  Network configuration is ongoing.
-CAD and Mobile Data Cutover is targeted for 28 August 2016.

Public Safety Training Campus:
-Last month we hosted 1,155 people at 64 events in the Academic Building.  Last month we hosted one training session in the Tactical Village for YTD total of 82.
-Final construction documents are being reviewed by Facilities and Procurement in preparation for the Law Enforcement Firing Range bid package to be released.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force:
-East Whiteland Fire Company received an amphibious off-road vehicle with Fire and EMS capabilities to reach victims and fires located in difficult terrain and flooded areas.

Voice Radio Project:
-The 60-day burn-in period continues with only one minor microwave issue reported.
-Cutover is scheduled for 4 January 2016 with all emergency responders operational on the system scheduled for 21 April 2016
-We are 33 months (87%) into the 38 month Implementation Plan.  About 91% of the project implementation tasks have been completed.  So far we have spent $30.878,545 (69%) of the $45,000,000 total project budget.

New CAD System:
-The CAD has been fully configured.  Configuration continues with the Mobile for Public Safety relating to NCIC and PennDOT.
-Installation continues on the Mobile Data Project.
-The schedule for CAD and Mobile Data is awaiting finalized project schedule with AT&T.  The CAD schedule will be revised once the AT&T schedule is reviewed and approved.

Public Safety Training Campus:
-Preparation continues to release the bid for the firing range construction.
-Last month we hosted 2,621 people at 56 events.
-The Facility was awarded a Fire Industry Equipment Research Organization Honor award.
